The Student Room Group
Hi,

You should request your firm and insurance choices to release you immediately. As soon as they release you, you'll be eligible for clearing and you can get your Clearing number from UCAS track. Meanwhile, talk to the uni you want to apply to and tell them to keep a place for you. As soon as you get your Clearing no. from UCAS track, ask the uni to consider you just by your UCAS no. and Clearing no. so that they can give you an offer and reserve a place for you. (I just did that coz I'm an international student and my CEF will reach me at the end of this week). However, they'll confirm your place as soon as they receive your Clearing Entry Form (CEF).

What you first need to do is talk to the uni and request them to secure a place for you and then request your other choices to release you ASAP.

Hope this helps.
