']What is the difference between clearing and adjustment?

Clearing is for those who don't have offers or who don't attain their offer requirements; it is an opportunity to salvage something from their application after an unsuccessful year; candidates may emerge from clearing with an offer, or they may be unlucky.

UCAS Adjustment, on the other hand, is for those who obtain better results than their firm offer required and is an opportunity to find a place at a university that requires higher entry qualifications; candidates are guaranteed to keep the place they originally held and have nothing to lose.

Oh wow, thank you! How would I be able to go into Adjustment and what are the likely chances of the university giving me an offer? And also, how do I use Adjustment?
