It could be possible, but whether it's the best option for you or not I wouldn't know. I'd advise having a word with your personal tutor about the problems you've been having. They might be able to direct you to a counsellor/adviser or an advice unit or something like that you might have at University. This would be just in case there are any further things you need sorting out, or you need specialist advice in terms of procedural issues. It would depend on your exact personal problems, and only a professional adviser could help you with that. Otherwise, you usually have the opportunity to resit first year exams and only need 40% so most people pass. If you fail the year, you have to resit failed modules the next year, and then proceed onto Level 2, I think. Your other options would be to drop out and start a different course/university, but this all depends on your individual circumstances which we can't really advise you on.
