Applying for accommodation vs waiting for final offer

I've had an email through from Nottingham Trent saying that as I have an Unconditional offer, I get first choice of accommodation, buttt my Kingston interview was last week, so I haven't heard from them yet... and obviously can't/don't want to confirm Nottingham until i've heard from Kingston.

However, Kingston is such a difficult course to get into, I'm wondering if it's worth risking decent accommodation at Nottingham while I wait it out, and probably don't get an offer from them anyway. I've only got until the end of this week to Firm Nottingham if I want priority access to the accommodation.

I suppose my question is, is there any way around this? I would have thought there would be a deadline that uni's have to reply to you by, then the accommodation saga would begin after that, for everyone?
Is it different because I'm Art & Design?

This waiting game is killing me :frown:

I'm pretty sure if you applied by the deadline then they have to reply to you by 7th May.
