    Polystyrene cup lower heat capactiy?
    Hello there, what does it mean that polystyrene has a lower heat capacity than a glass beaker?

    Heat capacity is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of something by 1 degree.
    The statement is saying that you need more heat (energy) to increase the temperature of the glass beaker than the other one.

    [BTW. Heat capacity relates to any mass of material, specific heat capacity relates to 1kg of the material]
