Re: The Lower League Football Thread - post here! What the hell is going on at Orient? We lose to Torquay at home in the cup in the worst performance since Martin Ling came in, and then we beat Huddersfield, Nottingham Forest, Northampton, and get a respectable draw against Crewe. Spooky.

Re: The Lower League Football Thread - post here!I think what has made the difference is our loan signings: Guttridge from Southend and Walker from Charlton. What has been frustrating is that last year, in League Two, we played some great football. In League One, we haven't been bottom because it's too good for us, we've been bottom because we haven't played like we can. Now we have these two new motivated players in, we're starting to get towards the standard we were at last year, which we always knew would be enough for midtable.

Re: The Lower League Football Thread - post here! Are we really a big club though? We only get 4,500 people attendance wise and in the past 10 years we've only paid money for maybe 3 or 4 players.(Original post by Carl1982)
A club of Orient's size should not be in a relegation scrap, the other teams like Cheltenham and Northampton they are the one's who will be struggling to stay up. -
Re: The Lower League Football Thread - post here!
Oh yes they did and at the same time that was how Orient gained promotion, there's footage on youtube of the Orient fans invading the pitch afterwards.
Be nice if Dagenham did beat Oxford to that promotion spot, especially after what happened to them when Boston were promoted. -

Re: The Lower League Football Thread - post here!We were unlucky. Gillingham dominated the first half but our keeper held stroing and then James Walker (on loan from Charlton) scored a cracker. We then dominated the second half, before Luke Guttridge got sent off for a second yellow (the first yellow was harsh, plus he was letting Gills players off with tackles from behind without a card!), their first goal was a wicked deflection off our defender, and then a penalty.

All things Championship - The best second tier of football in the world.
There has got to be a fair few championship footy fans around here...
And we can have better banter and discussions than prem team fans because most champ fans actually go to see their team =D
So start off by stating your team, and their current affairs.
Stoke City - Doing fairly well after an awful start to the season, however all because of Tony Pulis' loan signings, which we could lose, but we have a good chance of keeping a few of them, and have been linked with Akinbiyi and Kabba, to replace the two lumps we currently have up front.
Next game - Leeds, should be an easy win, but never trust Stoke -
Re: All things Championship - The best second tier of football in the world.
Aha a Championship thread!
Crystal Palace - We are a truly awful team playing awful football. Taylor has signed poorly, his tactics are very negative and we have no pace in our side at all. This season has been the worst one I've ever seen - watching a team lose at home each week isn't very enjoyable.
The talk of promotion is long gone and we are not good enough for the play-offs. Hopefully we can buy some wingers and full backs in January and maybe even a decent goalscorer.
Next game - away at Cardiff - We will go and play for the draw and probably end up losing.
