Re: Medicine For International 2011
Well for one, most if not all of our local senior consultants/profs did at least their specializations there ! That should be credible enough, I believe.
Well Done Pinkmojo !
Hey Gildartz,
Why such a grosse clip ?
Thanks for changing... sometimes Dr House is also gross ... but that is fine !Last edited by Masala; 11-10-2010 at 12:59. -
Re: Medicine For International 2011
@ gildartz : Well, personally for me the medical course offered in my country is way too academically rigorous. I feel somewhere down the line we prolly make the most intelligent but insensitive doctors. I feel the med course in the UK is also taxing, yes, but it also helps in making a good human, a good doctor, a sensitive yet intelligent doctor. Also the introduction of clinical side in year 1 is quite cool as in my country onnie years 2,3,4 & 5 are clinical. Also o/course the recognition the med schools in UK hold is great, who wouldn't want to graduate from an awesome institution?
Sheesh, that sounds like I'm answering some interview guy =] haha!
@Masala-thankyou! =] Good luck wherever you go =]

Re: Medicine For International 2011If you don't get an A at Chemistry for example, during your AS level, you can resit a specific module, or the whole AS exams during your A2 year.(Original post by hardees)
Can someone please explain to me what does an alevel resit mean and why do medical schools in the uk not accept that?
Med schools dont mind AS resits, but they do mind A2 resits... unless your applying to oxbridge, in which case, all the exams need to be taken in one sitting and you achieve the highest possible

Re: Medicine For International 2011Where did you hear that? I resat a Chem AS module and Oxford clearly weren't bothered ...(Original post by killfestab)
