I have my A2 french oral on Monday with AQA and i am panicking about the debating cards!

Any idea what ones will come up or what to practise?

Oh and I keep seeing things about whether poor people are our responsibility or not then the classic 'what to you do for the environnement' and then 'is it our responsibility or the governments'... and for the techonology stuff it's mostly about whether or not we should use OGMs or cloning

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your question. Should really ask some friends who had theirs at other schools! Unless they change them at each school?

I had mine a few weeks back.

My debate card was on les problemes de l'insertion. My friend had the death penalty. There were environment ones.

Basically, everything the topics covers could come up. Which isn't much help, but it's the truth!

Frenchteacher.net has lots of good resources if you look at the A2 section, isn't there anything at all in your text book? ... If you wanted any practice online or whatever to exchange ideas, I wouldn't mind either

I had mine yesterday There's only 4 of us in my french but we all got quite nice ones really
I had integration and environment, my friend had environment (but a different one to mine) or..I think it was technology?
another had environment and immigration I think...and the last one had crime & punishment and I dont know the other..
Seemed to me that a lot of them were on environment or some form of immigration/integration issues

Meant to add, have you got the specimen thingys for it? we had them and I don't think anything came up that was vastly different to any of those, which we'd obviously practised

I have my oral on Wednesday (my 18th ) this thread has helped a lot, so thank you it's a shame with this new spec that we can't rely on 'model' answers

hi again i have a question - i studied l'avare for one of my literature topics, and harpagon - the main character- uses the phrase 'je vous prete le bon jour' (i lend you a good day) sooo in my oral i was thinking of using this as a greeting in response to my teacher's bonjour

Mine's on Wednesday too.. then the AS that I'm re-sitting is Friday and I have my AS and A2 German orals next Tuesday. funfunfun...
I'm actually praying for a stimulus card on the environment - we've been studying it for 4 years now, I probably have the most vocab on it. But still dreading the exam because I cannot debate in English to save my life, I'm terrified I'll just freeze up and have nothing to say (what happened last year)
