Most tournaments in most casinos have some sort of rebuy system. It's only the big games (WPT, EPT, etc) that hold freeze-out tourneys. If you're a good player, you don't need them, and it's more easy money for you to get hold of

Yeah I know, and given the way I play, i'm sure i'll make use of them, i'm just used to playing in situations where it's not that fair to people to allow them, should be ok at uni though.

Anybody already thought about joining any societies?

http://www.ubu.org.uk/main/societies/societieslist

(Not that I have, I'm just bored at work and thought I'd try and start a discussion! )

Football supporters club, cheap ass tickets for bristol rovers and trips to big matches

Clay pigeon shooting (cos its the only thing im good at except remembering seemingly irrelevant details and picking good music ) though that might be more of a sport.

I normally go once a year but managed to get to Morzine twice this year which was amazing. The first week was in February, not much sun but heaps of fresh powder every morning and the second was nearer easter and it was so hot we were skiing in T-shirts (still a fair bit of snow aswell)

Their website seems to suggest they do a Christmas and Easter trip so i'm sure you'll be able to make one of them, I might even try to get on both!

ooo i'll be joining the ski society as well... been loving the idea of uni ski trips for ages! i'll prob try go on both trips too -- as long as the easter one doesnt clash with the family trip. i suppose tht could potentially be 3 trips a year lol how completely extravagant (but fab!) got skis in the sales for my 18th so have to get as much use out of them as poss!

Yeah that might be a problem for me too, not going to give up a free ski trip with the family if I can help it!

What skis do you have? I've been trying to get some Salomon Pocket Rockets for a while now but having trouble finding them for a good price, any ideas?

Ah cool Vokyl are great. The pocket rockets are twintip skis, really good for tricks and powder as they're so wide, not so good on ice and they're not as quick as some skis but they're so much fun it's untrue. I managed to get some really nice boots this summer too, had this thing in the shop where they mould an inner sole to your feet and everything, was well weird but makes them fit well, just take about half an hour to put on on the first day of the holiday!
I wonder what motor club is about - anything to do with cars and I'm there. Gliding is also a laugh so will be signing on the dotted line for that. Oh and surfing and roller hockey.
I can't ski :frown:

Can surf though
I can ski!(badly!)

But i can't surf!

anyone else interested in the caving society?
Caving? That's my brother's kind of thing. I'm a bit too claustrophobic!

Go to the freshers fair and see which ones are offering the best bribes to get you to do them and then pick some

I can ski and surf :p:
