Politics can lead you into almost any non-vocational field. Certainly, you may be employed by an NGO or the UN with a politics degree. Equally, a law degree would be useful for both but by no means more advantageous than politics for either.

What really matters isn't so much your degree but you. Get good work experience, interview well and just make yourself a rounded individual and you'll be far more employable.
