Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratWhy do you insist on contradicting yourself? it is bloody annoying!!!!(Original post by Morgsie)
I will be Lib Dem Leader aswell as my prospective MUN Role -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal Democratis it just me, or do you not have any idea whether or not he's going either?(Original post by tehFrance)
Why do you insist on contradicting yourself? it is bloody annoying!!!! -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratNo I did not mean that, what I meant to say was that if I get the EU Secretariat position then I am stepping down from the Committee which is looking at a Uper Chamber(Original post by Moleman1996)
but you've just said you'll resign if you get the MUN role? -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratJust as an aside, I don't think there is a role in the HoC which requires more decision making than that of Speaker! And comparing this job with leading TSR Labour, I can assure you that the decisions one has to make as Speaker are far more difficult and consequential!(Original post by Moleman1996)
I can see you as a speaker, I think you'd be better suited to it than party leader. An impartial position which requires less decision making could be good. I genuinely think you'd do a decent job. -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratBut that would be making life too simple. Besides, have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?(Original post by Mazzini)
To make it clearer that you were making a verb out of the title of a novel rather than simply making a spelling error? -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratOh jesus christ, get your story straight boy!(Original post by Morgsie)
No I did not mean that, what I meant to say was that if I get the EU Secretariat position then I am stepping down from the Committee which is looking at a Uper Chamber
Please for you own dignity, step down from all and don't go for Speakership. -

Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratObvious quote from Batman. Do try harder.(Original post by obi_adorno_kenobi)
But that would be making life too simple. Besides, have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratThe quote wasn't the point, but rather the next line. "I ask that of all my prey". After all, anyone familiar with Terry Pratchett's works would have instantly recognised the title of that particular novel. So the point becomes one in which you are complaining at my lack of italics to illustrate a non-standard reference for something you weren't familiar with but failing to do so with something that you are. Perhaps it's you who should try harder. Or we can end this rather pointless and circular "argument" since I made my point a while back.(Original post by Mazzini)

Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratHis story was straight, it was only your misinterpretation of it. When asked about WT and the HoL thread (nothing to do with the Leadership of the party, I'd say), he replied:(Original post by tehFrance)
Oh jesus christ, get your story straight boy!
Please for you own dignity, step down from all and don't go for Speakership.
"I made a deal which was that I will be stepping down when my MUN position as EU Bloc Secretariat is confirmed. I am waiting for TC to post my Manifesto up and if I am elected then I will be stepping down"
Moleman thought that he was talking about his leadership of the LDs, you believed him, now you're trying to make it seems like it was his fault, when in fact it was your misinterpretation of the comments (or at least belief of Moleman's misinterpretation). Get your facts straight, boy! -

Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratI believe more people will have seen a famous film than a book in a very long series written by an old man with dementia.(Original post by obi_adorno_kenobi)

Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratWell that's your own prejudice to deal with.(Original post by Mazzini)
I believe more people will have seen a famous film than a book in a very long series written by an old man with dementia. -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal Democratfair enough then, I probably should have worded that better. I think he'd perform better in an impartial role.(Original post by Metrobeans)

maybe that should have been included in the post where you said it, clears things up a bit.

Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratAnd perhaps you have a prejudice against the TSR Liberal Democrats to deal with.(Original post by obi_adorno_kenobi)
Well that's your own prejudice to deal with. -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratNot just the TSR Liberal Democrats, it's all Liberal Democrats. And, y'know, my prejudice stems from policy and occasionally personality. Not easily reconciled. Yours, on the other hand, needs you to read a book and not poke fun at a relatively old man with a nightmarish illness. I've never met you before but you certainly conform to the typecasting of a Liberal Democrat. Probably even a privately educated one at that.(Original post by Mazzini)
And perhaps you have a prejudice against the TSR Liberal Democrats to deal with. -

Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratI would advocate for an elected president to act as head of state, as I feel this is the most democratic option.(Original post by barnetlad)
If the TSR votes for a republic, what is the model for an elected head of state the TSR Lib Dems would advocate? -
Re: Ask a TSR Liberal DemocratHopefully TSR will vote to keep the Monarchy. I will be voting for the Monarchy compared to my Deputy who will vote for a Republic.(Original post by barnetlad)

If TSR votes for a Republic then a directly elected President.
