The Government has passed a referendum. It'll be for everyone on TSR to vote in I believe, and I think it's on the 25th of June. You don't have to join a party to help with the campaigning, but if your interested in the MHoC its worth joining one, even just to see if you'd enjoy it :P

Moleman's right. The only party which is united on this issue is TSR UKIP which fully supports the monarchy. Since you've joined our society, if you would like to join the HoC party and become more involved with shaping TSR UKIP, click on the link in my signature (the picture) and apply to join TSR UKIP.

Were UKIP not opposed to a referendum since the republicans will probably win?

I am sure Parties will re-group after the Referendum.
I am not getting directly involved due to my Commitments as Leader, MUN etc.

We are a party which embraces democracy and therefore we support people having their say on the issue and will be campaigning for the retention of the monarchy.

On all of the recent TSR user polls i've seen (all be it on a smaller scale than this referendum) people have voted in favour of the royals...

We're hip-and-happening modern types. Progressive technologically as well as constitutionally.
Oi, I'm not bad with technology, I'm just awful at art and Photoshop

    (Original post by Moleman1996)
Jarred is good with photoshop, but I don't know whose side he's on :/

For now my crappy powerpoint sigs will have to do me
I don't have enough space in my signature for a campaign banner anyway, what with all my Miranda gifs

So, the TSR Lib Dems hate the monarchy and wish Thatcher was dead, disturbingly similar to the real Lib Dems I suspect.
We're divided on the issue of the monarchy. Some are voting to retain it; others are not of the same persuasion.

It was posted in a different subforum and it was not even posted as official party line. We do not wish Mrs Thatcher to be dead.

Official party line is irrelevant. Someone from the party said it and should be ashamed of themselves, just shows the blatant hypocrisy of the left.

That was me. I have apologised and most us have moved on. Please don't raise it again?

Just for the record, I felt terrible

I thought this was settled, so I don't know why you are bringing it up again.

    Morgsie publicly apologised for it

Do grow up. Our party is offering a free vote on the monarchy, and we do not share Morgsie's views on Thatcher.

More a reflection on the real Lib Dems who do have republican sympathies and are so out of touch with public opinion on important issues such as immigration and Europe that they may as well not bother with elections. Good to know you do not wish death upon our greatest ever PM.

The Lib Dems aren't the Left. They're the beige bit in the centre - the unfulfilling middle in that unloved sweet left in the tin of Roses at Christmastime.

Well their lefties are incorrect in their assessment of the political position of the Liberal Democrats. Given that the Lib Dems speak to both economic liberalism and social liberalism, they balance the weak centre-left and the weak centre-right. To describe them as anything more than centrists is to exaggerate to a point where only the politically thick would go.
