Well their lefties are incorrect in their assessment of the political position of the Liberal Democrats. Given that the Lib Dems speak to both economic liberalism and social liberalism, they balance the weak centre-left and the weak centre-right. To describe them as anything more than centrists is to exaggerate to a point where only the politically thick would go.
"Economic liberalism" Vince Cable has to be the first business secretary that hates business and wealth.

Well Vince Cable began his political career as a member of the Labour Party and most modern Lib Dems, certainly amongst our generation, wouldn't necessarily agree with his position. I do but that is why I'm a member of the Labour Party and a fairly left-wing one at that.

Vince cable is no legend, he believes the UK should be sucked into a European state.

To think that the UK should no longer exist is a bit sick frankly.

Dr Vincent Cable warned about the economic mess and was right about Murdoch.

Nick Clegg was a former MEP.

I believe the UK should be in the EU and be involved at the top tables.

Official party line is irrelevant. Someone from the party said it and should be ashamed of themselves, just shows the blatant hypocrisy of the left.
The comment was made outside the MHoC and therefore is irrelevant to the party and the MHoC completely. The fact that you're trying to make it relevant shows desperation and an attempt at petit point scoring.
It's irrelevant and there's no point in bringing it up.

Why? It has no more reason to exist indefinitely than the Kingdom of Wessex, Fife or Brycheiniog. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland represents a political settlement for here and now. Indeed, it has existed for less than a century in its present form. Who knows exactly what the future holds and what boundaries will exist in the centuries that come.

I rest my case. I'd love the Lib Dems to take their case to the electorate at the next election, they'd sink without trace...

    When you've learnt to
    a) Not take things too seriously and
    b) Not make absurd and incorrect assumptions you might be ready to play with the grown ups.

We don't mention Europe in our Manifesto's. Though everyone knows we are pro-Europe. We have not sunk so far.

Actually, you've done nothing to either answer the question of why the UK should continue in its current form. You rest your case rather like one Lionel Hutz, attorney at law.

Sorry but that's not the point. You're trying to make it seem like it's a party wide policy and then you started generalising about "the left" yadda yadda.
The comment was made outside the MHoC so it's got nowt to do with the party. And it's not a party policy, never has been nor will be, and the fact you're suggesting it is, is absurd.
If you have have an issue with it call out the person that said it, not the party.

There's a good reason you don't mention Europe, there's a big difference between being pro-Europe (Cameron) and wanting a European state (Lib Dems).

You rest your case on what? Obi isn't a Lib Dem, so you can't "rest your case" on the issue of Lib Dems and Europe when his position regarding Europe whatever it may be has no relevance what Lib Dems feel about Europe.

Also very nice of you to tell us that we as a party want a European state, I certainly didn't know I felt that way, it's nice to have someone so much more knowledgeable than me on my own thoughts to tell me what I think.

If you want to contribute to this House, do something constructive rather than childishly throwing unwarranted insults at another party. It only serves to make you look rather silly.

So did Peter Schiff and other prominent libertarians, but I don't see you singing their praises.

I am not directly involved, I have only endorsed the Monarchy campaign and I will be voting. My energy at the moment is running the Party and the EU Bloc in the MUN.
I've never seen you debate in the House and would be interested to have one with you and the other Lib Dem members that pertain to the pro-monarchy campaign.

You've clearly stated that you favour the monarchy, and, as leader of the Lib Dems, can you explain how the inequal rights that monarchy entails are reconciled with your party's ostensible liberalism?

Shortform: why do you believe in some people having more political rights than everyone else?

What are the views of the Deputy Prime Minister concerning the Rt. Hon. JPKC joining the Socialist Party, considering that he promoted himself as being "independent, liberal, moderate and progressive"?
Would you like to ask me that question?
