Can't spend that much!!! Even if I wanted and tried I think I could... Crazy stuff.

My advice: try to enjoy your last time at home, because if you live quite far won't see that people for a long time (as in my case) and don't try to take too much luggage with you. Avoid taking unnecessary items with you.

I COULD spend that much... But I'm not going to

I suppose it depends on who you are. I'm a lightweight and it doesn't take much to get me drunk, so I usually spend about a tenner on alcohol, sometimes more but mostly less.

Three pints (1.5 on an empty stomach) and I'm anyone's!

Then don't go to Germany - MOONSHINE BABY - MOONSHINE!!! That stuff rocks!!

And do not try Jedi's either - if you are a lightweight - the consequences will be dire!!

I went to Koln in October for a german exchange trip. Best holiday ever, but on the first night I had three medium Kolsch (about a pint and a half-ish) and threw it up. It went to my head a LOT quicker than I expected.

After that night though I was fine! Managed to drink equivalents of 4-5 pints through a night.

I'll be going to Hallam, but I have no idea where I will be living. If I am allowed to set up a still, then I am very happy, though I want my liver in one piece by the time I finish uni!!

My options so far for living are:
    1 - Halls
    2 - Private Sector
3 - In an RV (Winnebago)!!
    4 - A FedEx shipping crate!!!!
5 - Mental home, but I don't really want to go back there! Staff were nice, so the food was nice!!!

£200 is about right! You will find it very difficult to spend less.

Think i spent about £300 last year, although that does include sports team sign up. Although i did get my loan through early and it looks like you have loadsa money if that happens.

You only get one fresher's week as a fresher, my advice is enjoy it as much as possible.

Haha yeah. I used to be pretty average, but about two years ago I drank a whole half-bottle of straight bacardi in about 15 minutes, and I haven't been able to take alcohol as well since (understandably).

It does also depend on the situation. At events such as formals I've been known to drink way over my usual amount and still be relatively stable, while at some intimate parties i've had hardly anything and i'm wasted. It also depends whether I'm drinking pints or bottles. (once had seven bottles in a club, and the next week had two pints and felt just as merry).

That sounds kinda weird but I'm led to believe that a relatively large percentage (about 40%) of drunkness is psychological, or something like that, so it would make sense, spesh the pints thing. (Anyone who dared to watch Big Brother this year will get that, when Kinga thought she was wasted but Big Brother didn't tell the house the wine and beer that night was non-alcoholic)

I will probably spend more money on medical bills than anything else - snowboarding has a bad habit of wrecking my body.

I am not gonna be walking out of uni!! Alcohol will kill my liver, snowboarding will destroy my body and study will destroy my mind!

if you sign up fro stuff you can spend £200 no problem, If you don't goto the ball then you save alot of money too.
I know people who went out every night and spent £60 and other who spent £350

depends what you drink and where you drink it really.
