Some One Help Me!!
Right..
I'm going into year 11 and am really worried about my GCSE's. I'm getting straight C's which isn’t enough since I know I can do much better. The thing is I'm not sure whether to start revising from today since I think that I’m just going to be wasting my time since I’m probably going to forget what I’ve learnt in a couple of months (memory skills suck). Aside from that I don’t know how much to revise per day. Shall I just focus on one subject per day or what!?
I’m really stressed out.
Can some one plz make me a sched or something?
I'm taking..
Maths (intermediate)
English lang+lit
Science(double)
ICT (GNVQ COURSE)
Geography
PE (full course)
R.E (Full course)
Any tips would be awesome.
Thanks in advance. -
well first of all, revise mostly your year 11 work, as your year 10 work is not as useful in the tests, secondaly dont over stress yourself, if you want top grades revise 2-3 hours a week and step it up about 4-6 weeks before your exams. Also give priority to your weakest subjects and subjects you want to continue to A-Level because is beter to get an A* in a subject you want to do further and a C in a subject you dont than a B in both.(Original post by spamking)

Taking past papers helps alot if you can get hold of them, ask your teachers if they can give you some. They give you a good idea of what will be covered in the exams, as the questions are usually different but within the same kind of lines as previous papers.
And revision club (!!!) was useful for me. Because, I chose to be there I focused more and it made a clear distintion between my work time and my fun time.
Whatever you do, don't expect that if you've revised something once that you've retained the information effectively because you probably havn't. It's that old saying again "practice makes perfect" and it's often overlooked in academia.
I hope I've helped even just a tiny bit. Good luck
