Here are my answers (I know some of them are wrong!!)

2x + 10 = 24
2x = 14

9) Front and back:
Area = pi*r^2 = pi*14^2 = 615.75 for whole area.
65 deg. 65 / 360 = 18.06% of the area.
So front is 0.1806 * 615.75 = 111.18 cm^2 * 2 (for back) 222.36 cm^2
Sides:
Recentangle sides 14 and 40 so for two = 14 * 40 * 2 = 1120 cm^2
Answer = 1120 + 222.36 = 1342.36 cm^2

a) A = (x+3)(x+7) = x^2 +3x +7x +21 = x^2 + 10x + 21
b) x^2 + 10x + 21 = 45
x^2 + 10x - 24 = 0
(x-2)(x+12) = 0
x-2 = 0 -> x = 2
x+12 = 0 -> x=-12
x can't be -12 or sides would have a negative length, so x=2
11) A of top = pi*r^2 = 128.7 cm^2
V = AL
L = V/A = 3260 / 128.7 = 25.3 cm
12) Angle SRQ = 180 - 90 - 42 = 48 deg
Angle PRS = 63 deg
So Angle PRQ = 111 deg
Side RQ = (350 / sin111)*sin27 = 170 m
Side SQ = (170/sin90)*sin48 = 126m

1.95^2 - 1.25^2 = 2.24
sqrt(2.24) = 1.5
1.5 + 1.95 = 3.45 m
14) a)15*tan25 + 1.7 = 6.99 + 1.7 = 8.7m
b) tanx = (h - 1.7)/15 = (18.4 - 1.7)/15 = 16.7/15 = 1.11
x = arctan(1.11) = 48 deg

I thought paper 1 was easy then I BOMBED paper 2 so badly and I don't know why when I think about it now it was easy. I got a B for my prelim and an A for my extended unit test so heres hoping im O.K. for paper 2 i've counted 27 guaranteed marks and i'm needing 3 for using formulas so can someone tell me if I got the marks for these.
For 4(b) I wrote: The coach got earned more points in less games
For 9 I didn't get the full thing but I did use the formula at first and get an answer: I used the A of S/ A of C formula then got an answer and timesed it by 2 cause theres 2 sides
For 14 I got the answer wrong again but for (a) I wrote out h= 15*tan25 + 1.7 and for (b) 18.6 = 15*tanX + 1.7
are any of these worth anything? cause im DESPERATE to pick up marks I dont know why I didnt just to 12 and 14 right cause I know how to I literally had a bad day, im terrified

also does it matter if I get say a C in paper 2 and an A in paper 1 as long as both marks out of 80 add up to 60% then I have achieved a B? and could I get into higher with it even though I got a C in paper 2, if I do fail surely I can appeal as well
Higher is a massive step up from Int 2. I got 100% in my prelim last year for INT 2 and only got 72% in higher. If you work hard you will manage but don't expect that it is going to be easy.

In 4 (b) it is not strictly true that they played less games - the SD just shows that when they did play they got closer scores together (like instead of playing two games and getting 10 and 50, they played two and got 30 and 40).
In 9 you needed to use the Sine rule A/sinA = B/sinb - it is correct to times it by two but then you also need to work out the area of the rectangle bits and add that on.
You might get a mark or two for 14.
I will post my answers to paper 1 later if anyone wants them (though I doubt anyone's really that bothered

9 and 10 b are the only ones you got wrong.

No its definitely right.
the area of the whole circle can be calculated. The whole circle is 360 deg / 2pi radians.
65 deg is 18% of the whole circle, so it is just 18% of the area.
