it was so hard e.e
I was so annoyed cause I revised loads but there were a few answers I completely guessed:L
How do you think you guys did I found it significantly easier than b3
Reply 3
Same I didn't understand those sankey diagrams :/ only 3 maks though
I'm the opposite, B3 was easy but this was dead hard =/
Reply 5
B3 was hard aswell :frown:

It was quite hard actually!!
what did everyone write for the question that said what two other carbon compounds are found in plants?
i wrote carbon and nitrates O__o
Reply 7
Glucose and Carbon Monoxide.

CO is probably wrong, but I was sat there for the ten spare minutes I had racking my brain for something, it was ridiculous!
i put DNA, it is made up of 5 carbon ring, called Deoxyribose

hmm yeh
and the question that was
why are chromosomes even in cells?
i wrote cuz odd number wouldnt be able to split? LOL

one from each pair from each parent

ohh..
so i wrote that one wrong then..
and the one about how to measure rate of photosynthesis
i wrote measure volume of gas, and do the iodine test for starch
would i get any marks? :s-smilie:

Not sure about iodine test, although gas seems a little vague.

I put frequency of bubbling and volume of water.

Frequency of bubbling is vague I know, but I can't just expect students in a school to have equipment to test accurately the volume of gas. And the volume of water? Well surely the more it photosynthesis' using water, the lower it will be?

I think too literal.

LOL hmm makes sense though...
damn me. i lost yet another mark :frown:

The way it sounds, I expect that to be A*.

really? YAY
thats my predicted grade too.. i really hope i get an A*
really depends on chemistry and physics...........

i put glucose and chlorophyll for the two carbon compounds present in plants, both have carbon in them so i think i got it right...:p:
ahhh i put

carbohydrates and fats lol......

arghh grade boundaries need to be lowered!!!

i think they got the question about controlling body temperature wrong because it said what happens in the blood vessels when the core body temperature falls and they constrict and then the next question asked how does this relate to the graph which showed the temperature of the skin increasing when surely if the vessels constrict the skin would cool down?? anyone else find this?

yeah you said in the last discussion :P: i think i remember it was just poorly written and the previous question wasn't related even though you would've thought it was.
