the A level subjects for which course

i'm doing physics, maths, chemistry and economics (first 3 for A-level),
and in mind, i think i wanna do computer science or mechanical engineering in uni..
do you think the uni will consider people who have knowledge in engineering and have taken engineering instead of economics for example,
or do you think that just the physics and maths grades are all that matters?

thanks

Depends on the uni. For example, at cambridge it you want to do engineering although they don't mind engineering at a level, they still want you to have maths, physics and in some cases further maths. But you shouldn't be at any disadvantage if you don't have engineering a level.
