Is any doing Development Studies, either BSc or MSc? I'm applying for the course and would love to know more about it.

Hey, a friend of mine is applying for Development Studies MSc at the following unis:

Sussex
Oxford
LSE
SOAS (maybe)

Do you have any opinion on these schools' reputations? I've heard Sussex is the best for Development Studies, but of course LSE and Oxford have better overall reputations. What do you think?

The Sussex courses don't really appeal to me at all. They focus more on politics and culture, whereas I want to focus on political economy. The only one I'd be interested in is the MPhil but that's 2 years...I want to do the 1 year MSc

I'm applying to
LSE
SOAS
UCL (Int'l Public Policy--has about 5 development modules)
Kings (Conflict, Security and Development)

They're all supposed to be quite good in the topic. Oxbridge is good of course as well but I'm sticking to London as you can see.
