You once had to prove that Sinx/Cosx = Tanx, but that's simple enough.
When? and how do you prove that??

Sin = O/H
Cos = A/H
Tan = O/A

Sin/Cos = (O/H)/(A/H) = O/A = Tan

lol that wasnt hard. When did that come up?

For question 6.b I used a different method, do I still get the marks? I found out the equation of PQ and showed that the centre lies on the line.

Question 7.ii) I don't understand how they got 318.6.

Thanks.
You should still get the marks for 6b);

7ii) 4sinx = 3tanx

4sinx - 3sinx/cosx = 0
4sinxcosx - 3sinx = 0
sinx(4cosx - 3) = 0

sinx = 0; cosx = 3/4

x = 0; x = 180

or x = 41.4; x = (360-41.4) = 318.6
14. Re: Official C2 Revision thread : Edexcel - 9th June 2010
How's c2 going everyone ?
15. Re: Official C2 Revision thread : Edexcel - 9th June 2010
I get confused with the Geometric series thing when it goes into banking/investment ._.
Do i just multiply it by the decimal multiplyer, to the power of years?

20. Re: Official C2 Revision thread : Edexcel - 9th June 2010
For the June 2005 paper what is the next step after
2p(x)=-q(x)
66p²(x²)=11q(x²)

How do you work out p and q? I don't understand the method in the markscheme. I know it has something to do with simultaneous equations.

Can someone help me?
