GCSE Maths Grade Boundaries

I'm confused as to what the grade boundaries for GCSE maths are.

I got 101 marks on Module 1, 139 on Module 3 and now I'm wondering how many marks I need to get on Module 5 to get an A, and how many for an A*.

What I was told was that I needed 240 total to get an A, 300 for an A*, but this doesn't seem right. I think it's more than a coincidence that 101+139 = 240, maybe I was given the wrong figure... Otherwise, I'd be walking into this exam with an A even if I didn't answer a single question, which doesn't seem likely.

Enlighten me?

According to my teacher, you need 242 Points to be an A* after doing modules 1 & 3. I remember this because i have got 243 so far and i know i just scraped off an a* :P

Use this site to calculate how many marks/points you need to get an A* after module 5.
