Hidden Curriculum

From my notes I have:

Only part of what lean at school is tested in exams
Based on internalizing a set of cultural values that solidly MC
WC kids fall foul of these ‘hidden’ values and are stigmatized

However I have learnt and read far greater explanations of what the hidden curriculum entails, and on the most part it is about the creation of a confused and passive force that can be manipulated only by those who have 'expertise', regardless of class. I am now wondering would it be wise to add some of the stuff I know on the subject in if we get a question on marxism or the hidden curriculum? I mean it will show understanding etc. but not being in the syllabus to such an extent may cause me problems (lol this is very ironic actually)

What should I do?
You should write what you know.

Btw, the "hidden curriculum" is not necessarily a negative feature of schooling - there are lots of things we learn "trhough the process of going to school" that can be positive and beneficial to everyone concerned. If you get a question about the HC it can be worthwhile balancing up the negative with some positive ideas (because the examiner won't get to read many answers that do...).
