GCSE maths tomorrow! Post last minute revision queries

So, not looking forward to tomorrow!

If anyone has any last minute problems with topics, I'll try and help!

Can anyone help me... I'm having a bit of trouble with quadratic graphs. I (kinda) get the y=f(x) thing, but why does the tip of the curve change position when y=af(x) or y=f(ax)? I thought it was just that the graph was being stretched in the x/y direction?

Help :s-smilie:

You can get past papers off the aqa website (if you're doing aqa), go to (I think) qualification, then subject, then there should be a tab called something like 'resources' with a link to a load of past papers.

My friend also told me about a site called www.gcsemathspastpapers.com, not sure how good it is.

Thanks, do you know where the answer sheet is for the site?

multiplying and dividing fractions...

I know to divide you have to make one fraction into the reciprocal... I think. What are the rules?

To multiply just times out the bottom and the top

To divide, find the reprociprical of the 2nd fraction and then times them as if you were just multiplying

Divide fractions KFC. keep the first fraction flip the second change the divide to times. Multiply top and bottom
Everything to the power of 0 is equal to 1, it doesn't matter whatever happens inside the brackets like if they write the entire quadratic formula inside the bracket, it will always equal 1

P.S.
