How many people are actually in this party?
Somewhere between 20 - 30 with more set to join.

5 actually active members currently - discounting burningnun - which again will rise.

Congratulations to the new leader of TSR UKIP. Can I ask who the second MP is, or is that still being decided?

He does, the presidency is an administrative role - hence why he does not get the other MP spot, but the DL does.

nun is not active at all tbh, he just stood for the election.

It is the other three you mentioned plus Mr_Spoof and lotpp, who has only been active in the subforum until exams are over and such. I beleive HDS, who has recently rejoined the party, was also an active member - at least at sub-forum level and I expect he may become so again.

I have no idea if I'm honest, but It certainly doesn't seem like it from conversations I have had with bun. I'm not sure if you're joking but I am PMing him now and will ask him at first chance.

Nope, thunder_chunky's brother isn't he? That is why there was a ISP number mixup..

No basically there was a problem with dupes a while ago, and it was 'revealed' that he was the dupe of thunder_chunky (I think). Then it turned out they just lived in the same house or whatever. I think that's right, Drogue would know.

I see, not the most alike siblings from what I have seen but fair enough. There is a Mr_Spoof and a Mr.Spoof as well I think, which are the same person. If I'm honest I don't know - I would prefer not to have dupes in the party though of course, hmmm it should be fine.

Well, I'll leave that with you :holmes: I have a dupe in the Socialist Party. Don't use it any more though, it is semi-retired.

Aye, we will see how it goes. I'm not overly bothered anyway if people went to the effort of creating a dupe to see into UKIP then I'm honoured :awesome:.

Oh I thought you meant a member having a dupe in the party! Members from another party putting dupes into UKIP is bad :sadnod: breach of trust... you can check 'suspicious' usernames in AskAMod by the way!

Ah ok. Yes but pretty much nothing has happened in the sub forum, and nothing will be for a while. I want to get the internal structure of the party sorted first before policy reform and, eventually, the writing of bills and such :yep:

Yes. As a party with no strong opinion either way we feel it is only right to allow the public to decide.
Yes, but we can't offer a referendum on everything. By wanting a referendum you are acknowledging it above other issues, despite not being particularly in demand. It's an expensive process and, as I'm sure you've considered this I can only wonder why you want one! There's
no pressure to bring back the death sentence, it seems
people would rather simply just have harder sentences and less luxurious prisons. There's many issues I'm sure you've a lack of opinion but you're not going to hold a referendum on each of them are you?

The death penalty is a contentious issue. Also, within the party we have differing opinions on it - just no 'party' opinion as such. We feel it is important enough to warrant an opinion on and, as there is a clear disparity between members views, the most legitimate way for this tio manifest is in a promise of a referendum.

No, many parties have differing opinions on issues, the answer isn't to hold a public referendum. Decide amongst yourselves OR don't address the issue. If the answer to every unagreed problem is to hold an expensive public referendum our defecit would be even bigger!

With all due respect you are in no position to tell me what I can or cannot do. If I wish to address any issue, in any way, I will do so. I didn't say referendums in this context would be a blanket policy so don't be so presumptuous, the death penality is a different issue - intrinsically - to many others as it deals with the taking of someones life; if you can't recognise this then I'm not sure what more I can say to you on the matter.
