Apparently Edmure will be in the next season, so they'll probably do it straight.

I don't think there's enough time in an episode for them to cram in the whole set up and then the actual event as well. But then again, I don't think Robb has a whole lot of storyline left before it happens. My guess is they will put it quite early in the next season.

I can't wait to see what they use as this season's final scene though. Maybe Dany in the House of the Undying? I'm not sure.

That'll be two season finales all to Dany. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they do all of the scenes behind the doors like the man with the wolf's head.

Looks like the Reeds will be joining Bran and co. after all. I'm also looking forward to seeing Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr.

I was so happy after hearing this, but I'm most looking forward to Vargo Hoat with his lisp. "Kingthhhhlayer..." :awesome:

I saw an audition tape for Vargo Hoat the other day but it was without the lisp unfortunately. It was an awesome audition though. I'd link it but the video has gone private now.

Pretty certain it'll be the prologue of aSoS, ending with the horn being blown three times. This pretty much confirms it at least being featured in the final episode somewhere, and it would make a perfect final scene in my opinion:

Ah that's a shame, I hope they add the lisp in.. he won't be the same without it. Did you ever see the audition tape that Jason Momoa did for the part of Khal Drogo? Terrifying...

Just saw the last episode, was epic. For a TV show I thought that battle was really well done, Stannis leading the lines and then being the first one up the ladder was a bit stupid though. Also didn't really explain how all of Stannis's men thought it was Renly leading the charge at the end though.

Wasn't a fan of Tywin in the books but the one in the show is sooo good imo, the actor plays him really well.

I'm still on Episode 5 of Season 2 and so far it's been incredible. Still way too much nudity and OTT graphic violence for my taste still...

    Book Spoilers

Please don't let the finale be Dany in the House of the Undying, I honestly can't stand her or her storyline, it had the potential to be epic. Thinking back to A Clash of Kings (need a reread of the series in the holidays I think) I can't recall too many events that would make a really good finale. I think it needs to be across the Wall though, maybe talk of taking the Wall by Mance and then a camera shot showing his huge army near the wall.

Do you guys reckon that Catelyn and Robb will ever think Bran and Rickon are dead in the show, or just hostages? It was always fairly important to Catelyn's storyline.

In the book they recognise the armour, not sure if it'll be the same in the series.

It does have quite a bit of nudity/sex (sometimes unnecessary amounts), but this season has hardly had anything to OTT in that category imo.

I'm absolutely fine with the violence and gore, don't think it's been too much, if you want to see over the top watch Spartacus.

I have. Spartacus is just silly in that respect though. At least GOT tries to incorporate into the story for effect rather than just showing it in slow motion like Spartacus.

I just remembered there's still some stuff to go on north of the Wall, namely Jon killing Qhorin. I'm pretty sure that will be one of the many "cliffhangers" that the next episode will inevitably have.

Last episode then an entire year's wait for the next season. I can't wait that long. I don't want it to be over. What else am I going to watch every week?

Am thinking of getting started on season 2 but have heard from some people that it's pretty hard to follow if one hasn't read the books (I did really enjoy season 1 though). What do you guys reckon?

I don't think it's too bad. There are some new characters (Stannis and Davos are in the very first scene, iirc) but you could check up the cast list with mugshots so you know who's who.
