i thought it was ok.

the mean was

m^4-2m^2=0.5

so by expanding (m^2-1)^2 you get m^4-2m^2+1

so making it the same you have to minus 0.5

so (m^2-1)^2= 0.5

square root both sides

M^2-1= root2/2
m^2= 1- root2/2

then square root it to get mean as 0.541.

anyone got the paper with the answers now??

How did you get 139?

I got 47,

4x4x3-1=47 (You square the mean then use it in the E(y) Equation)
