Basically I had one in January 09 saying I was dyslexic, I am planning to apply in the next cycle as I am taking a gap year.

Will this report still be valid? If not I will try find a way of getting one done in the month odd I have left or something..

It may be.
'Bridging The Gap 2010' is rather ambiguous, saying if you had one in the past you may need one again! (page 11). I can only suggets you apply and see what happens.

I got told it has to be one done after you're 16?

Ahh cheers.

Worst comes to worst I go to uni and in the first few weeks ask for an assessment.. no way I am paying hundreds of pounds to find out what has already been proven.

And I was 16 at the time, so might be in luck!
I believe you will be expected to pay for it. (according to bridging the gap) it just sas your uni may help.

For me I had to retake as mine was taken when I was 13 but I would have been fine if it was post-16. I suggest getting in touch with the unis you're going to apply to as they'll be able to give you accurate info.
I'm 24 and the test I had when I was 17 was rejected as being out of date (it was from 2003) so I'll be getting re-assessed.
