The former.

I've chosen to take maths, bio, chem and sociology.

The first one is better seeing as all the subjects are considered traditional subjects by the unis but you might want to check out the work load difference between geography and sociology because all your subjects seem pretty heavy and theres no point doing all trad subjects if the work load means you cant do well in all of them.
The former, Socio is viewed as 'soft' by some unis.

Im thinking...

Maths
Biology
Chemistry
Geography

or

Maths
Biology
Chemistry
Sociology

Which ones better?

Take the first list with Geography. Sociology is seen as a 'soft' subject with some universities don't like. Geography will go into some scientific topics not covered in Chemistry and Biology, and it is a respected subject.

Take Geography, it's on par with subjects like History, English Lit, Economics but it's much easier.

I would also advise Geography as well - sociology is considered easier than geography by some universities. However, if you feel you could do better in sociology maybe it would be better to do it?

It is totally up to you though - make sure you pick one you would be happy studying for 2 years
