This isn't going to be particularly helpful - I'm in the same position as you - although haven't had my first lesson yet, so don't know what the teachers are suggesting yet - I'll let ya know when i do!

i think the "Psychology for A2" By Michael W. Eysenck is quite good.
There is a revision guide as well as a text book - by the same bloke i think.

Go to :- http://www.a-levelpsychology.co.uk/aqaa/a2p/ .

Loads of good case studies, extra info, coursework help at the end.

In my opinion, Psychology A2 The Complete Companion by Cardwell and Flanagan is the best book for revision as well as classwork.
^^ i had that book - was really useful.

but dont worry about revision guides. get urself along to the revision conference in may i think it is and they give really useful hints as to what the questions are going to be:biggrin:

The revision conference is held in london and people like Cara Flanagan, Mike Cardwell etc are there trying to help out with the exams, but most of it is boring, takes the whole day and doesn't really help at all because its common sense what they are teaching you. I went to the AS one but didn't bother for A2 because I found it pointless.

That book is great. I used it last year and it was amazingly useful. Its broken down page by page into the appropriate module secdtions then on pages its divided into the Theories and Evaluation and then research studies and evaluation. In shorter bullet point style it is easy to remember.. also at the end of each section it has quizes to help test yourself.

(Only one warning, If your teacher chooses to teach you the 'Animal behaviour' module as mine did, This wasnt in this book last year.
I dont know if all the modules shift around and change etc year.. But that was my experience.)

Dog and Brain book, as it is known in our school. Its the A2 companion by Flanagan and Cardwell, its brilliant. They do a Cat and Brain book for the AS course aswell. Breaks everything down bit by bit and it especially useful for help with essays.

I think the ony reason we use them is because our school got money knocked off because my psychology teacher is good friends with Mike Cardwell - cheap skates!
