The Student Room Group
It's a bit of a mission for UCAS. You need to ring them and tell them you've changed your mind. The universities need to know otherwise it'll get confusing on Results Day.

Putting down somewhere as your Firm is like entering a contract to go there if you get the grades. If you get the grades for Manchester, they will know you have those grades a week before you do and will be expecting you. Liverpool will have gotten rid of your name entirely.

Ring UCAS, basically.

it makes a big differnece
if you achive the grade u need for your firm offer (mani) then by the contract you have to go there, if you miss the offer but meet the insurance offer (liverpool) then by the contract you have to go to liverpool.
so just try meeting your insurance offer

if on results day you've met the manchester offer then you maybe able to ring/write to them and say yu don't want to go here so could you reject me or something

its alot of letter writing n annoying phone calls so its hectic work
so after your exams go check both uniz out n the accomodation n make your final choice
manchester uni is really good, n the city centre is awesome.
liverpool city centres really good too duno bwt night life
so just be sure you ant to go to liverpool before making your final choice on results day

if you want you might be able to ring ucas n ask them to sort it out or summat

:ditto: to everything they just said.

Check with Liverpool's accommodation guarantee; they may only allow firm-ers to definite accommodation.

Ring/email/contact UCAS a.s.a.p.!!
Agree with what has been said.

If you get the grades Manchester Uni are asking for you have to go there.
Manchester university really isnt a bad place though
Same as above, really - it matters, you're bound to Manchester if you get the grades, etc.

In addition, I would say that if you no longer want to go to Manchester and are happy to go insurance-free, you can contact Manchester and ask them to release you, making Liverpool your firm. See more here.
