christmas temps

I was looking round town today for a temp xmas job that I could have for the few weeks I'm home from uni. It never occurred to me til I asked that the contract was 3months long and began in October. Who's intending on getting a job over Xmas? And how are you planning on doing it?

just go and ask as soon as you get back not now, if you ask now they want you to start pretty soon for the start of the christmas shopping and wont offer any other times, however most places still find them selves understaffed and will take anyone who asks during the christmas time.

Ask your current employer if they'll take you and give them exact dates - you may well find they will! Otherwise, get in touch with an employment agency like Manpower (the one I work for) and they'll find you a temp placement if you apply early enough.

i may go back to do some work for smiths who im with at the moment or i might look for some temporary bar work or something in bristol... dont really know yet :s:
