I did delivered the free weekly news papers. I cornered the market and earned £20 a week doing it. Thats more than I seem to earn now.

Small, independent cafes and shops, as well as pub kitchens, are your best bet.

supermarkets are known to take on the younger people. so is woolies, although you would get more pay in a supermarket. just go up to the help desk and ask for an application form.
paper rounds, but you might have to wake up early depending on what time they need to be delivered.
cafe rouge...if that's near you.they do school kids. (mainly because kids are cheaper)

I know this is not much help but I am just 17 and nearly gave up looking for a job. My mum when she was shopping (yes she does go everyday ) found this advert for Tesco and I applied and got the job of going on the tills, not big frills but alright. Don't work for Asda, loads of my mates have quit because they hate the new management and the fact that the staff don't work as a team and are really bitchy. Plus they have to wear those green hats and look like a lollipop.

Your best bet at this age to get a job is in the retail trade. I would probably recommend Kwik Save or Woolworths.
By the way, I saw some young people that used to go to my school working at home bargains, they're about the same age as you. You could probably try there.
