Lost 1st stage EC's appeal
hello,
Today I have had a seriously horrible day ;(
I asked to defer my exams in May (all 4) to do in August and put in EC's to support this and have a 1st sit. The EC's were rejected and today was the appeal meeting. For 40 minutes the panal grilled me on my EC's then declined them (took 25 agonising minutes to make a decision) but did allow me a resit i.e capped at 40%. There reasoning was very flawed.
These are final year exams. I dont think I can even scrap a 2:2 with this barrier.
They did say I could ask for my 2 year diploma. Is this actually worth anything? What's a 3rd class degree worth? In employment terms? Can I pay/go back in the future to do them again?
I am looking at appealling but the student union lady didnt seem to believe I had a strong case.
I am gutted.
