What is the worst film you have seen and why?

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

i cant believe that nobody has mentioned 'jumper'

    that was sole destroying
Did you claim for a new pair of shoes afterwards?:p:

    Dude, where's my car?

That was a lame ass film, would have had more fun grating my face.

Superbad lived up to the name too.

Elf. Oh man it was bad. Oh and the Da Vinci Code, did they really think that explaining the history of the Catholic church in bite size chunks was subtle ?

HAHA...I just said the same thing...silly silly film, poorly executed, tried to be dark and mysterious but was just so silly....
Sad thing is Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and The Village had plenty of positives, but this didn't (apart from Bryce Dallas Howard's legs). What a waste of brilliant acting talent (Giamatti, Howard, Wright, not Shamalamadingdong). Happening was dire and Last Airbender looks bad aswell.

    Ladies and gentleman,

Have you been waiting all your life to watch a movie that will scare the living **** out of you whilst you sit there finding solace in popcorn and trying to figure what the ____ is going on? And most importantly why?

Then may I recommend : The Lovely Bones!!

A good 2 hrs or more of your life being subjected to an eclectic mix of :O and

Go on..you know you want to!

Benjamin Button was terrible, as was My Sister's Keeper... And it is something if I say a film is rubbish because I don't tend to dislike films...

Knowing - just too implausible, even for a film. The performances/plot weren't engaging at all.

Night at the Museum 2 - it was just predictable, the acting was merely passable, and it was just like an extension of the first one, with an almost non-existent story.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith - it was just so boring, and pointless. I really don't find Brangelina and their bodies interesting, which was probably why I felt like this.

You must be retarded or something of the like, because the whole narrative of a man going backwards was so welll written an the performances were excellent, not to mention the technology used.

Land of the Lost : I couldn't even finish the movie . Stopped watching after the monkey grabbed the woman's boob. Don't know why I watched upto that point , for that matter.

Easily Alice In Wonderland, the most boring pile of rubbish and an utter rape of the book.

Some of the films I was thinking have already been mentioned. So to add to the list

    Blue Crush
Changing Lanes - I really like Samuel L. Jackson, but this film was booooring.
Kate & Leopold - Oh my god, it was painful to watch! Meg Ryan is annoying and the whole plot was just the definition of awful.
    Smokin' Aces - Just. No.

And Scary Movie was not funny at all.

The Happening - Can't believe I paid money to see that in the cinema
Alice In Wonderland - very disappointing
Coraline - wasn't awful, just don't understand why people like it
Twilight - probably not the worst film I've seen, just don't get all the hype
9 songs - Pointless, it's just live music and porn edited together
    Adventureland - nothing happens!

more will probably come to me later.

Well, It's nice to know that anyone who has different taste in film as you is retarded... I will keep that in mind. Have you thought at all that maybe, I just didn't like it?

    Resident Evil: Extinction.

I couldn't stomach the disgusting effects: namely Jovovich.

Good GOD I hated this film, dragged along to it by my family when it came out in the cinemas (no idea why) literally one of the most boring films I've ever seen, with hollow characters, a dead script, no action, no drama and no interest. I hated it so much

    Even awful B-movies with terrible production, such as this little gem;

Have humour in them. Poorly made movies don't necessarily mean bad movies; Blue Crush was produced on a big budget, it was just ****.
