Re: Bulgarian Society
Otdelno ot yabelkov sok, khladilinik, khlyab, kotka, i vi blagodarya.
Don't know about the accuracy of that, but apple juice, cats, refridgerator... all the stuff you'd expect an 8 year old to remember.
It was a very different time back then, in the late 1970s. I don't think anyone could have imagined how things would turn out today, with EU membership and young Bulgarians coming to university in the UK. It makes me quite sentimental

Good Bulgarian, to be honest
Compared to most foreigners' efforts to learn the language, this does stands out
Would you like to visit Bulgaria some time again? -

I was actually supposed to be riding to Bulgaria this summer on a motorcycle tour. But then I had a succession of mechanical problems with the bike which cost much more than I anticipated to fix, so I've had to cancel it for this year. Might have a go at it next summer now.
I think it'd be really interesting to see some of the places again. We used to go up to Borovets in winter for the skiing, if anyone knows it. And Slunchev Bryag in summer. Be nice to go back, but very different now I expect.
Yeah, I'm a genius
