I follow a lot of Tom Hiddleston tumblrs, and recently my dash has been full of Sherlock so I thought I should watch it, see what the fuss was about, and now I love it!
I also ship Johnlock, it's practically cannon (or maybe tumblr has just warped my mind haha).

There is no way that book is long enough for a trilogy. I hope they know what they're doing...

I just don't understand how he could materialise nine hours of film time from such a small book. Surely there must be extras added. Sigh... I just want to see it, feels like I've been waiting for a lifetime and now I have to wait potentially three or so years to finally see the end of it.

I'd been meaning to watch the series when it was on TV but kept missing it, and I just got the DVD box set of both series on DVD at the weekend

Just watched the first episode and I love it!

It'll be something to do with having the rights to the Appendices. So expect lots of seemly random flashbacks and cutting to things that don't really seem that relevant.

Haha, the Giant Rat (about which the world is not yet ready to receive news) would be cool! So... we have to wait till Autumn 2013?? I don't think I can take it. Let's get a campaign up and a petition to get them to start filming now. Just because Cumberbatch is now in everything doesn't mean Sherlock shouldn't come first.

Why? It happens in one of the early adventures so most of the adventures of Holmes and Watson happen with John married.
