Or maybe I was wondering if it was worth watching and came to read a few reviews. Hard to use [spoilers], aye?

    Spoiler:

    It was worth it, anyhow.

I just had a second viewing and I think I have spotted a fault.

When they are in Sherlock´s apartment in the drug bust, the cabbie shows up and texts SH: "Come with me". Now, as I recall it was Watson who texted the murderer with his phone, not with SH´s phone so it´s impossible that the cabbie had SH´s phone number on the victim´s phone.

Actually, now that I remember, when SH asked Watson to send the text he said that he would not his phone as the number could be recognised since it appears on his website, so I suppose the cabbie got it off there.

Does anyone know how many episodes are expected to be aired? I suspect that due to the length of an episode, we´d be looking at 4-5 episodes?

BBC are considering doing a second series, because it's so popular, but it wont be out for AT LEAST a year because it takes a while to make (especially considering Moff's commitments to Doctor Who and other projects!)

Well, apparently it's mainly Gatiss' baby, so Moffat probably won't be a problem.

    Hmm ... let's see.

Episode one was written by Moffat - gives us a benchmark of how good he is.
Episode two was written by Stephen Thompson ... can't find much info about his credits.
Episode three is by Gatiss so I'll be comparing it to Moff's XD

One and three are directed by the same person though, with the second by someone else, so we could see a slight change in style this week (not much as the continuity has to be kept, but there will probably be little influences by the director).

I really like it. Steve Moffet is one of my favourite British writers/directors, his was always the best Dr.Who episodes.... Can deffenly see some dr.who in the show...

But i think its great. I cant wait till its on again next... Really engaging.

I thoroughly enjoyed every scene! BBC have done it again, never lets me down (well...) Within moments his mannerisms reminded me of Doctor Who. He could very well easily be him to be honest. His got that Doctor-ish vibe going on. I'm I right when in thinking the writers are Doctor Who writers?

You are correct, but more or less every writer in the BBC staff is a Doctor Who writer as some point.

    Three episodes.
    Cheers.

I´m not sure if a second series would actually work. 1 hour and a half episode is virtually a film, it takes a lot of work and time to film, not to mention that to keep up with the level of drama and originality in every single episode is going to be extremely difficult. I don´t think it´s viable at all or even worth it in economic terms for the BBC.

I think single episodes once in a while could work well.

Best thing I've seen since doctor who. I thought the long runtime would make it feel like it would drag on, but it flowed very well, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

I think he was offered the part of the doctor after David Tennant said he was leaving?
Wasn't expecting it to be quite as good (hence why it took me five days to get round to watching it :p:) but will definately try and watch the next one on time!

Pretty good, I thought the last quarter wasn't as good as what had come before it though.

I was really impressed by the first episode, I must admit I still havent got round to reading any Sherlock Holmes stuff, other than one story we studied at school, but the show was very good, the characthers seem strong and the plot was pretty clever imo. I look forward to the next show

I find Benedict Cumberbatch (teehee) so attractive as Sherlock, which is odd since he was so ******* creepy in Atonement :eyeball:

    I cannot wait for tomorrow!
