Unless it's not a very reputable university, you have no chance.
How do you know this, person experience?
You'll have to go through Clearing at this point. You can't apply directly.
The uni I want to apply for will have nothing in clearing.
Is it worth talking to the head of admissions there anyway?

What about when people inevitably drop out or don't turn up at the start of the year? Surely there will be some places available then.

I managed to get into my undergraduate at UWE fairly late, although I had extenuating circumstances (injury) that meant that I had missed the deadline.

Basically, they kept me on a "late" list and stated that they would come through with their decision once Clearing started. I had even applied to a few reputable universities, but in the end I was accepted by UWE first and my registration went to them.

In your case, if I were at a decent university on a good course that will land you with a good degree that employers would want I'd stick with it. Otherwise, talk to other universities and they'll probably do a similar thing for you and put you at the top of their list for Clearing.
Thanks for your help.
It's massively confusing without the support of a school.
