Both have scored the same amount of goals, but only one played a part in a World Cup winning side.
Agreed, Villa basically got them to the semi-finals.

Why should have it been Xavi? Unless you're going by sentiment, which frankly isn't what the award is for...

Still think Tevez had a better year as an individual.
Club football wise Tevez edges it. If we look at it internationally Tevez should just go hide in a corner. Overall Villa edges it, Tevez had a fantastic year mind.

I wanted Xavi to get it but happy with Leo, it was Iniesta I didn't want to receive it so relieved that didn't happen.

Also Hallenius got robbed of his goal award, Altintop's face said it all.

Ohh dear, mind you maybe they'll do better against Madrid in the Copa, I mean this has to be their embarrasment of the month right?

Simao goes to Besiktas for a very cheap price?

Remember us trying to get him a few years ago and had like a 12 mil bid rejected!

Is he any good anymore? He's getting old.

Can Messi equal Platini's record of 3 in a row next year? :jiggy:

At this point, every indication is that it's going to be between Messi and Ronaldo. It could just come down to who wins more things with their club. They're clearly the best two players in the world right now.

I'd love for Messi to win three in a row though :teeth:

I think Barca will win more than Real Madrid this season tbh. Stronger squad in every position and more consistent.

Looks like Messi it is.
