Valencia are exceptional at home when playing the bigger teams this season, great performance. Soldado has had a very productive two weeks, six goals!

    Guess who was there :proud:

Soldado got two more to his name and is now a fantasy manager's dream. However the real MoM for me was Mata. Not only did he also get two of his own, his passing, vision and organisation were just sublime. An amazing player. Also need to hand it to Stankevicius who held us together at the back after we started slightly sloppily. Dealt with a couple of bad back passes when César couldn't. Mathieu and Miguel were also fantastic.

Nilmar who? Looks like one of my teams is heading for the Champions League next season!

    AMUNT VALÈNCIA!

Ibrahimovic had received a yellow during the game for "incorrect behaviour towards an opposition player," his eighth this season, earning him an automatic ban.

His subsequent abuse of the referee's assistant saw him sent off with just three minutes remaining at the Artemio Franchi.

However the Rossoneri have released a statement revealing they intend to appeal the decision.
    Hopeless.

Him and Cassano are clearly trying to outdo one another for 'most stupid sending off'

I think that's the first away European win for Barca in a while.

You mean knock out round away win. They beat Panathaniakos 0-3 in November.

Also, Messi breaks Ronaldo's record of 47 goals for Barca. In less games too. :adore:

Incredible stuff from Leo, he'll probably outdo Jardel's record if he stays fit!

    Didn't Jardel get 54 or 55?

Messi needs 7/8 goals in 7 La Liga matches, 1 Copa final and 2 (possibly 3) CL matches.

    He'll do it IMO.

Telmo Zarra also scored 48 goals in the 1950-51 campaign, but Messi is likely to increase his tally.
Last season, he matched the record set by Ferenc Puskas in a Real Madrid shirt in 1959-60 and also equaled Ronaldo's record with Barcelona in 1996-97.

Was this the 1st away european win by Guardiola since he took over?

Messi has 48 goals this season, yes! But he also has 24 assists. He truly is the best player in the world by far!
