This French team really seems to gel now. Huge contrast to 2010.

However, I'm still surprised to see Malouda in the squad. Alou Diarra too, especially after his awful season this year.

Ribéry is just magical. One of the best dribblers in the world.

Aaaaaaaaaand that seals it. What a wonderful team goal. Giroud wins it in the air and sets it up perfectly for Rami to finish. Besides Spain, there's not a team in Europe who can move the ball around better than France.

    Atrocious by most accounts.

Evra was the worst player on the pitch, and I'm sure Blanc took notice. He was entirely at fault for Iceland's first goal and partially at fault for the second. He barely had anything to do all game and when he did, he was asleep.

I just really can't see Italy going very far though .
Sounds a lot like chelsea in the champions league. Big boys but just aren't seen as them. They still have a couple of champions in the squad like buffon. Chiellini has now won a league title and will have confidence and a functioning balotelli could do good for them. Too bad pazzini had such a poor season at inter goals wise although I could blame that on the form of milito.

    Neither can I.

They'll finish 2nd to Spain in Group C and then lose to France/England (winner of Group D).
    haha, just no.

Anyone interested in an Eredivisie thread?
If there's a thread already then could someone direct me to it please?
If not, post here about one of the most entertaining leagues in the world! :yy:

    A line-up of:

    Buffon
    Maggio Barzagli Chiellini Criscito
    De Rossi Pirlo Motta
    Giovinco Balotelli Cassano

To me, this is an amazing team...

I really don't see the problem. Betting scandals and football are synonymous at EVERY level.
10-0 Bahrain vs Indonesia when Bahrain had a -9 goal difference to overturn to qualify. Against a team who had conceded only 3 goals in the past 3 matches.

    or the Chelsea CL win.
I wonder how much Schweinsteiger was paid for that penalty miss.
