Penmaen halls are really nice! Thank yourself that you're not in kilvey or something which are hideous. Penmaen halls are reasonably new. I didn't live there but i did some campaigning at the end of last year which meant i had to go round the whole blocks of flats!

Swansea is awesome i'm going in to third year doing English Lit. What are you planning on doing?

Hey guys. I'm starting second year this Sept. Last year I lived off campus in private due to being a late applicant. For this year coming I applied nice and early and got on campus. Does anyone what the rooms are like in Cefn Bryn? I think I'll be on the 9th floor so a sea facing room would be sweet. Also does anyone what the smoking policy is in rooms/kitchen.

Lucky. I'm on first floor so probably be hearing loads of people talking and stuff during the night since you have to go out by the entrance for a smoke.

I definitely recommend moving in on the friday, i did and i'm super glad. Two of my housemates are still bitter 2 years later that they missed out on the first 24 hours of uni

I have no choice but to move in on the 25th since it's the only time I can be taken up there. I'm really looking forward to Swansea too, just gotta get in first.

Well everyone I spoke to who started last year (all of about 8 people) all moved in on the friday, so that's what I will do (providing thursday goes ok)...
