Vicar in a Tutu
I'm starting a beginners' course in Russian at university this September and I'm supposed to be able to recognise Russian letters and read and pronounce words correctly before I start the course.

I sent off for the Russian course book, but it's being shipped from the States, so probably won't be here for a long while. So, does anyone know any good online resources for a bit of basic Russian?

Try BBC languages, Livemocha or my personal favourite for basic vocab/pronunication Byki. I know Revolutionnaire is starting ab initio Russian this year and is using the FSI language course. Good choice in course btw, I hope to do beginner's Russian next year :five:

What's the name of the coursebook, just out of interest?
