Ooo thanks- Will put it up. Any of them in particular?

The MIT ones are the best - very basic psych but very clearly explained and the lecturer who does it is awesome!

Yeah I think I watched a few a while back- should be very useful for anyone who would like a beginners insight in to Psychology at university level.

I'm hoping that I have added everything that has been suggested so far.

Thanks everyone for your input

Cool thread, I would definitely recommend watching the Yale open courseware videos:

http://oyc.yale.edu/psychology/introduction-to-psychology/content/class-sessions

and maybe some blogs could be added to your list, especially Frontal Cortex by Jonah Lehrer, he a great blogger and apparently he's 'hot' :P

http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/frontal-cortex/

It's probably the best psychology blog (though I suppose it is mostly neuroscience) that I've stuck to. Additionally the BPS research digest, though I've never really found it particularly engaging >_<

I don't like this thread. My to-read list is long enough already, without adding all the ones people have mentioned here :huff:

I have just discovered 'All in the Mind', a radio programme in Australia http://www.abc.net.au/rn/allinthemind/index/. There are sooo many interesting programmes-it's hard to know where to start! I have just listened to a conversation with Thomas Szasz, a highly contraversial man who wrote 'The Myth of Mental Illness'. There is also a blog, which I am yet to look at.

Edit: someone already posted 'All in the Mind' as a Radio 4 show but I don't think it is the same thing.
Here are all the psychology related TED videos. I can't recommend them highly enough. http://www.ted.com/talks/tags/id/152

Very excellent choice.

Sorry, 2 weeks old, but I noticed someone had included this in the list and I was pleasantly surprised to see it.

Hi everyone :hello: I have just listened to part four of this and it was very interesting. They discuss consciousness and disorders like prospoagnosia (when people can't recognise faces). It is also suitable for pre-uni students and will give you a bit of insight in to the kind of things that are explored at undergrad level. If anyone listens to the other parts, let me know whether you recommend them.

Did anyone watch the Horizon episode 'Is Seeing Believing?'? I found it interesting and well made, but feel free to disagree with me

I watched this! While I found it interesting, I just wish they would go into more technical depth with the facts, I appreciate that it is made for a wide target audience.... but there never are any in depth programmes....
Subscribes.
