North East. Newcastle is amazing and the Beautiful Northumbrian coast on your doorstep. Plus everyone is friendly, the drink is cheap and the girls are sexy. What more do you want.

I'd say the south east, with emphasis on home counties (Berkshire, Surrey). There you have the quality of life, coupled with a commuting proximity to London.

I am not from Edinburgh but I did live there for a bit and it's a special place. A recent UK survey put it at the top for the highest standard of living in the UK and I can quite believe it. I live in London now and while many wealthy people live here it is a stressful life in terms of access to public resources and so on.

I'd really like to move back to Edinburgh in the future.
