Looks like no-one got 100% for any paper this year. (Quite surprised about that for STEP II).

Seems a few got close. Maybe there was a subtle part to a question that everyone just missed completly.
Woah at the boundaries for STEP I/II! I should still have an S in I, but I'm thinking I am more likely to have S,2 than S,1 now.
I would have expected several people to have got 7 or 8 "full" questions out though, so even missing something on one question would not stop you getting 120.

Incidentally that's the first thing I noticed, that no-one got 120/120.

Wow...thats a very high step I S boundary and a very low step III 1 boundary.

And I'm suprised at the very low percentage of S's in step 1?
How depressing.

I was actually looking forward to getting the results but these boundaries have just made me realise I've probably flopped big time

43 people getting 6.5% implies 700 people took the exam and I thought it was about 2000?
Also it surprised me too as the '4 good answers for a 1' can't be achieved, not even 4 perfect answers would get you a 1 :/.
I'm screwed, the STEP I boundaries are insane but oh well, STEP doesn't matter yet. I'll know what to be worried about next year.

No idea why I thought it was 2000 or so then, never mind

2000 doesn't seem right.

It's more likely to be around the 700 mark.

Maybe you read that 2000 take all STEP papers combined? That seems about right.
I'm more nervous than I've ever been now. =/

Do we get to find out the raw marks or just the grade?

If it's anything like when I did it in 2008 then you're only supposed to find out your grade, but your centre knows your raw marks.

I know this because my centre never administered British exams before and the coordinator just forwarded me EVERYTHING. The marks were printed on a sheet listing every candidate the centre entered for so I doubt they'd give it to you, but if you ask nicely they might tell you. :yep:
well..isn't this kind of what everybody wanted for those who took STEP 2 and 3??

i personally found STEP3 much harder than previous years..
so quite happy about the low boundaries..
but i still think i'll get a 2.

i guess the boundaries for STEP 2 are much higher than expected
but again the level was quite average..hoping for a 1.

Comparisons from 2009 to 2010:

2: 58 to 70 (+12), 32.4% to 35.4% (+3%)
3: 35 to 47 (+12), 78.1% to 77.7% (-0.4%)

STEP II

S: 98 to 105 (+7), 9.1% to 9.6% (+0.5%)
1: 71 to 79 (+8), 29.6% to 30.2% (+0.6%)
2: 61 to 64 (+3), 47.3% to 48.1% (+0.8%)
3: 39 to 40 (+1), 80.9% to 82.4% (+1.5%)

STEP III

S: 95 to 78 (-17), 14.2% to 15.3% (+1.1%)
1: 67 to 56 (-10), 45.8% to 41.7% (-4.1%)
2: 55 to 46 (-9), 62.9% to 60.1% (-2.8%)
3: 38 to 29 (-9), 89.2% to 88.7% (-0.5%)

For STEP I, this totally contradicts their rule that "four good answers, not necessarily correct would get a 1"

As Unbounded said, apparently the 1 mark for STEP I hasn't ever been so high

Making us wait nearly 2 months, giving us a sneak peak of the high grade boundaries and then finally giving us the results...they must have secret cameras somewhere filming our reactions :o:

I guess no Cambridge for me then. I doubt they'll let me in with a 2 or lower in STEP I. And I doubt my STEP II score was any better.

I wish they'd forced me to do STEP III. True it's much harder, but a much lower cutoff!!
9 hours now :\.
Oh dear my plans for tonight got cancelled :frown: looks like 4 and a half hours more of sitting in my room worrying I guess haha
