This is what I'm looking at doing. I'm doing Politics, or if I only hit my insurance Politics and International Relations. Depends entirely on what field of aid work you want to go into. NGOs like good humanities degrees like politics, history etc, and economics will also get you far. International Development, yes, is a pretty good route into aid work although I guess it might leave you with rather limited options if you wanted to change your mind. Logistics is also a sought-after skill in aid work - again, it depends what you want to do

I think you're looking at doing the same type of work as me, so good luck. Hope to see you chucking bags of rice out of a helicopter sometime soon

Oh, before I forget, big NGOs pretty much require a Masters to get into their management positions. A year's voluntary service overseas would also help your cause an awful lot. Good luck!
