If I log into Sussex Direct, and click on the Study subsection, the face of my personal tutor - Mr Samuel Knafo - pops up now. It didn't before.

Just thought I'd alert you to this fact as seeing his mugshot is one of the things that has, today, made going to university more real for me. Not sure if it'll be the same for all you guys yet, though.

I can't remember my password for sussex direct!


I think I've got the username (since it came up underneath the box)
but the password must've been something random... And they didn't
use my email in there anywhere so they can't send it to me! Grr.

Yeah the password is just 8 digits of random letters....you might be there a while!!

Could you try typing your registration number into the get your login details bit? That came in a letter not too long ago.

For some reason I've managed to memorise my password. Hm.

Nope.

Once you've done that bit you get issued with a username and password.
Which for some reason I decided not to write down... Bleh.

I met my personal tutor once in Freshers Week then never again!

Most of the media tutors were pretty cool and it was quite cool that I'd heard of some of them before at A level and spotted others in the news/media

about the password thing, you can change it. look around the site and you'll be able to change it. i changed mine to something i can remember, so now i can log on without having to look for the random piece of paper i wrote the password they gave me.

Yeah, as soon as I get my original password I'll try to get it changed...
Still have to ring them up on monday before I can get in, though!

It's the same password as the one for registration, you should have it written down somewhere.

S/he still hasn't popped up on mine. I haven't sorted out payment of fees just yet, maybe I don't get a tutor til they know they're getting money!

ive got him popping up on mine, ive forgotten my password but i viewed it all yesterday.
It definately makes it more real.
