In my contract for Cumbria Uni it says that I can have a visitor for maximum 2 consecutive nights on weekends only but I can't have visitors over on consecutive weekends.

So basically my boyfriend can come over every other weekend as long as I let the dorm advisor person know beforehand. It also says if they are staying in a communal area everyone in the flat has to agree but that is common sense really.
I really wouldn't worry about these things. My contract for was 3 days and tell the porter but we've had people staying in our flat for weeks with no one being bothered.

Generally you're supposed to let th uni know that a guest is over but I doubt that happens 95% of the time.

I lived in halls last year and my girlfriend stopped over many nights a week. There was never a problem.
