This is true, if there's a lock on your bedroom door, then you need a seperate TV licence

This is incorrect. See FAQ.
I've lived in 3 different house shares, all with random strangers.

1 had no locks on the bedrooms but was fine.
1 had locks on the bedrooms and was fine.
1 had no locks on the bedrooms and my cohabitees' drunken friends would come into my room and piss on me when I was sleeping in bed, or take things. I came back from Glastonbury last year, about to move out, to find a LOT of my stuff stolen and everyone else already gone; the landlord refused to help me AND I lost my deposit because of the others too. Be warned.

Thankfully, I am living somewhere safe now with a lock on my door and 24/7 security.
Just wondered if anyone was still suffering from this problem - as I did at uni last year

If so, thought id let you all know I've found a portable lock product online recommended to me and it has worked perfectly and solved all problems.

DM me and i'll give you the website as it seems to get my posts deleted if i post in on here
